Dino Day drew participants and attendees from around the southern New Jersey and metro Philadelphia region, many of whom dressed for the occasion. Above, left, David Debreceni of Williamstown sports a temporary tattoo of a pteradactyl on one cheek and a T-rex on the other. Crowned with a dinosaur head (above, right) is Luke Harp of Cherry Hill. He was managing the Garden State Discovery Museum's Dino-Dig in King's Court.

Melissa Tucker, 5 years old, (above, left) works diligently on a dinosaur egg cookie at a Dino Day cookie art workshop run by the Senior Girl Scouts of Haddonfield. Dino Day's adult activities at the Baptist Church (above, right) included a series of lectures and slide presentations by dinosaur authorities. Here, the first visitors arrive for a talk by Michael O'Neill, senior paleontologist of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management in Washington, D.C.

One of several dinosaur authors and entertainers featured at various Dino Day venues was Don Lessem, some of whose books are shaped like dinosaur heads. Here, he signs copies at the Haddonfield Books Used and Rare shop on Kings Highway.
