HADDONFIELD -- With the final deadline for finalizing the exterior detail of the hadrosaurus sculpture just two weeks away, artist John Giannotti and crew work through the weekend. They have only days left before sculpting work will stop and the industrial process of making the bronze-casting molds will begin.

Giannotti's crew of sculptors is now focused on the minutiae of outer anatomical detail, like skin texture, muscle line and spinal humps.

When the original Hadrosaurus foulkii skeleton was found, the only parts of the skull recovered were a partial jaw and some teeth. The exact nature of the creature's head has been a mystery since 1858. This version is based on Giannotti's research into the large pool of Hadrosaurus fossil data now available from museums and other paleontology institutions around the world.
